(June 30, 2026) – NXTPoint Logistics is pleased to announce the appointment of Chris Tierney as Vice President of Operations, where he will oversee all aspects of the organization’s Johnson & Johnson Vision partnership. With a strong commitment to safety, continuous improvement, and effective leadership, Chris brings extensive experience from some of the world’s most recognized organizations.

Throughout his career, Chris has successfully led large-scale workforce transitions, managed multi-billion-dollar logistics operations, and driven complex operational turnarounds. He is widely recognized for fostering safety-first cultures, mentoring emerging leaders, and delivering sustainable cost savings, strong financial performance, and innovative process improvements that enhance both operational outcomes and employee engagement.

Chris began his career as an Industrial Engineer at Sanford Corporation before joining Ford Motor Company in 1995. Over the course of 26 years at Ford, he progressed through a wide range of roles across maintenance, engineering, quality, procurement, product development, and new model launches. He ultimately served as a site leader overseeing final assembly operations at one of the company’s highest-volume production facilities globally. During his tenure, Chris contributed to numerous operational achievements and efficiency initiatives, including driving $176 million in cost reductions during the 2008 financial crisis.

Most recently, Chris served for five years as a General Manager at Amazon, where he led operations at a 2.9 million square-foot facility in Jacksonville, Florida. In this role, he was responsible for operational performance, cultural transformation, and overall site leadership. Leveraging his expertise in Six Sigma and Lean methodologies, Chris implemented significant improvements in safety, employee experience, quality, cost management, and customer satisfaction, resulting in enhanced productivity and on-time delivery performance.

Chris is deeply committed to servant leadership and people development. Chris holds a Master of Science in Manufacturing and Operations Management from Kettering University and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Management and Engineering from Purdue University. He is also Six Sigma Black Belt certified.
